After heaps of thought, we’re thrilled to announce Berlin Chili Fest is coming indoors for a festive December celebration. And honestly? It’s been a learning curve that’s made us better.
Why We’re Moving Indoors
Back in September, we learned a harsh lesson about Berlin weather. A washout on Friday significantly impacted visitor numbers through the weekend – a gut punch for our vendors and our community. So this December, we’re going indoors at a venue that gives us everything we need: a dedicated space, maximum foot traffic, and – most importantly – protection from the elements.
What’s New
We’re entering directly into the market hall, creating a real festival atmosphere without the chaos. You’ll still have access to the food hall and main stage from there, but it feels like we’ve carved out our own space for hot sauce lovers. It’s intimate and it’s community-focused.
Listening to Vendors & Customers
The feedback we got from September and our winter event last year was gold. Vendors told us they wanted better integration, less competition from food stalls, and more direct access to customers. Customers told us they wanted to meet the makers behind the sauces they love.
So we listened.
Producer Q&As & Maker Stories
This time around, we’re running producer Q&As throughout the weekend. If you’re a vendor and you want to tell your story – how you started, what makes your sauce unique, your process – let us know. We want the community to hear directly from you.
Press Event & Community Beers – December 11th
Before the public festival kicks off, we’re hosting a focused press event at Kalle on Friday (11th December). Vendors, bring your best sauces and have one-to-one conversations with buyers and press. No chaos, no crowds – just quality industry connections. And everyone’s welcome to come along for a beer and some community vibes!

We Need Your Help
It’s a super busy time for markets in Berlin. We can’t afford massive Instagram ad spend, so we need your help spreading the word. Your share, your post, your recommendation means everything.
Applications Still Open
We have approximately 36 vendor spaces available. If you’re interested in bringing your hot sauce (or hot sauce-related products) to the festival, applications are open now. Unfortunately, we can only take chili and chili-related products this round – the venue already has food covered in the food hall.
Looking Forward
This festival started as a passion project by chili heads for chili heads. We’re still that. We make mistakes, we listen, we learn, and we come back better. December is going to be special – we can feel it.
