We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the inaugural Scottish Chili Festival will take place on 24th & 25th April 2027 in Edinburgh. The dates are confirmed, the excitement is real, and Scotland is about to get a whole lot spicier.
This will be Scotland’s very first dedicated chili festival — a free, family-friendly weekend celebrating all things hot, bold, and delicious. Expect an incredible marketplace packed with hot sauces, fresh chilis, plants, and specialty vendors, alongside BBQ, food trucks, and plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Well-behaved dogs are welcome too!
One of the weekend’s big highlights will be the Scottish Amateur Chili Eating Competition, hosted by the legendary Clifton Chili Club — as seen on Netflix’s We Are the Champions and boasting over 300 million YouTube views. It’s open to everyone, and yes, there are prizes.
The venue is still to be announced, but we wanted to get this date in your diary as soon as possible. Whether you’re a hot sauce fanatic, a casual spice lover, or just curious — this is going to be a weekend to remember.
