Berlin Chili Fest September 4-6 – Everything You Need to Know! 🌶️
Hey everyone!
We’re getting close to the Harvest Event (September 4-6) and wanted to drop some important info to make sure you’ve got the best experience possible.
This year we’re bringing at least 50 hot sauce vendors from across Europe – a mix of old favorites you love and a whole bunch of new producers we’re excited to showcase. We’ve really listened to your feedback and suggestions, and we’re committed to making this better every single time. That’s why you’ll see changes throughout the festival, and we’re not done improving!
Plus – kids get in FREE! We’ve got a dedicated kids’ area in the garden, so bring the whole family. And yep, well-behaved dogs are welcome too – it’s a chili fest for everyone!
🌊 WATER BOTTLES
500ml refillable water bottles are allowed. Just ask any staff member where you can refill your bottle during the festival.
Any water bottle over 500ml is considered an outside drink – security will probably not allow them through the door. So stick to the 500ml limit and you’re good!

🔥 CHILI EATING COMPETITION
Want to compete? It’s easy:
- Just show up before 1pm on Saturday or Sunday at the main stage
- Sign up on the day – first come, first served
- Paramedics will be on site right by the stage in our first aid area, so you’re in safe hands
- If you feel unwell during the competition, head to the right side of the stage on the beach area where the paramedics have water and support available

🍯 HOMEMADE HOT SAUCE COMPETITION
Back to how we used to do it! Just bring your homemade sauce and enter in person:
- Friday & Saturday: Drop off anytime
- Sunday: Before 2pm
No pre-registration needed. Just rock up with your creation.

🎵 LIVE MUSIC
We’ve got some incredible bands playing this year – check the event page for the full entertainment schedule. It’s worth planning around!
⏰ IMPORTANT: QUEUE TIMES
Here’s the real talk: 4pm-6pm on Saturday gets busy. The venue is limited to 1500 people at a time, so if queues form, they can get long (30+ minutes).
How to avoid this:
- Come earlier in the day (before 4pm)
- Stay after 6pm when people leave
- Buy a weekend ticket in advance – guarantees entry
We’re genuinely sorry if you end up waiting – it’s a venue capacity thing and really beyond our control. But it means the festival feels packed and alive, which is kind of awesome!
